Sonya Faust, Associate Director of Continuing Education

Sonya Faust is associate director of Continuing Education at Continuing and Professional Education. She leads the Registration and Payment Team and is responsible for managing a variety of professional development and noncredit programs. Her work includes supervision of the registration team as well as fiscal management and projections, data analysis and summaries, general operations and facility support, and building collaborative partnerships. As part of the CPE leadership team, she also plays a key role in strategic and fiscal planning.

Sonya began her higher education career as credit programs coordinator, in 2006, with UO Continuing Education (now Continuing and Professional Education). Over the years, she has worked in every area of Continuing Education, including managing credit programs, distance education, credit and noncredit professional development, and lifelong learning as well as small events, marketing, accounting, and finance. She has previously served the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) at the regional board level.

Sonya grew up in Oregon and received her bachelor’s degree in 1999 from University of Oregon in French with a minor in Italian and also earned an M.A. in French and Italian literature from Johns Hopkins University in 2005. Sonya enjoys reading, baking, board and card games, home and yard projects, as well as traveling and good meals with her family and friends.
